Sebastian Pila

“Ready to jump to a spiritual Level….”

Sebastian Pila has a eye-catching appearance: He is tall, rank and richly tattooed. He will stick out during the World championships in London end of this month. He will be there because he became third at the Spanish championships. It’s the first time he is getting such an opportunity. “It’s not a championship where you try to win over other yogis, it’s a personal challenge. Showing my practice to others and trying to inspire them, that’s my goal. To get more and more people to know all the good yoga can offer to their lives”, he says.

Sebastian was never very sportive. A workout at a gym was the most he was prepared to do for his body. He was working in the empty world of fashion, but wasn’t satisified at all. 2009 he became a Bikram Yoga teacher. Now he is not only working as a teacher, he also manages the studios La Castellana and Divino Pastor, the first to open in in Spain. Whenever possible, he is looking forward for a 90 minutes practise on his own. He used to practice other types of Yoga, but only Bikram has the complete meaning of Yoga to him: full meditation by using the body to keep the mind quiet – „.. ready to jump to a spiritual level“.
