Bikram Yoga Hattyu Budapest

Zsuzsanna Andre brought the Bikram Yoga to Hungary. She opened the very first studio in Budapest „in the Hills“ ten years ago. Meanwhile there are five official Bikram yoga studios, but hers is still in a leading position. Three and a half years ago she felt she needed more space and moved to a very modern and stylish building near the former Moskow square. The studio is located on the forth level. What I could only guess was the beautiful garden with a fountain and a tiny lake in it, just at the bottom of the castle hill. Concerning the hot room: Its sheer size and the special layout are impressive. The leather furniture is classy and precious, there is a lot of wood and indivually changeable light sources.

I chose to attend a „Candlelit“ class. Teacher Andrea gives the instructions. For me, it is an overhelming experience. She placed candles everywhere: in front of the mirrors, besides the columns and on the top of small sills. There is music all along, sometimes a choir is singing, then one listens to rhythmical instruments. Andrea is practicing too – she gives a silent-class. I wish there was something similar in Switzerland too!
